                                                                                   Hour of Code
Several Beaumont classes will be participating in Hour of Code.  Hour of Code is held during Computer Science Week Dec. 8th - 12th.  During this hour students will learn how to code programs on the computer.
Why computer science?
Every 21st-century student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. The basics help nurture creativity and problem-solving skills, and prepare students for any future career. Software and computers are everywhere, but fewer schools teach computer science than 10 years ago.

Mrs. Whatley's 5th grade class celebrated Dot Day by creating dots using the sketchbook app on the iPads.  They then transferred the apps to Mrs. Gossen's iPad, where the dots were compiled using iMovie.  Some of the students also shared what the story meant to them.  Enjoy their creativity!
